Standing at a decision, the exhausting part isn’t too few options — it’s not being able to see where each road leads. A job, a relationship, whether to move, whether to let go — each feels like a gamble, and you just want to know whether you’re about to get it wrong.
Here are nine passages from the Bible about guidance and direction. They don’t make the decision for you, and they don’t promise the road ahead is smooth. They lay the search for direction out, one verse at a time, and let you read slowly.
What the Bible Says About Guidance
I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
Psalm 32:8
Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.
Psalm 119:105
and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way. Walk in it.”
Isaiah 30:21
