Bible Verses for Strength When You're Weary
Not the kind of tired that sleep fixes. The kind where speaking takes effort, where you've done nothing all day and still feel hollowed out, and a voice somewhere says: I can't keep this up much longer.
Here are eight passages from the Bible about weakness and strength. None of them tell you to try harder — you have been trying. They point to a different kind of strength: the sort you don't have to manufacture yourself. When you're running on empty, we hope these give you a moment to breathe.
He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29-31
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1
