Bible Verses About Trusting God
You're at a fork, both directions look unclear, and you still have to choose. The hardest part usually isn't the decision — it's the uncertainty, the way you start doubting your own judgement. And the longer it drags on, the harder it gets to tell caution from fear.
Here are eight passages from the Bible about trust, faith, and letting go. They won't tell you which road to take, and there's no answer key at the back. They make a different offer: when you don't know what to do, you don't have to carry every decision by yourself.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD, and do good. Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture. Also delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD. Trust also in him, and he will do this:
Psalm 37:3-5
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
Psalm 56:3
Trust in the LORD forever; for in the LORD, the LORD, is an everlasting Rock.
Isaiah 26:4
Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Psalm 9:10
Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Psalm 62:8
It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:8
