This page explains how the Verbis Bible verse website (“this site”) handles your data. This site is the content website for the Verbis Bible app — it is not the app itself, and the two behave differently, so they are described separately below. What this site does

This site is a purely static content website.

It uses no cookies
It has no analytics installed (this site does not use Firebase Analytics)
It carries no advertising or ad tracking (this site does not use AdMob)
No account is needed, and reading these verse pages builds no profile of you

The only data this site collects: your email

If you type your email into a form on this site, it is used for exactly one thing: to tell you once when the iOS version of Verbis Bible reaches the App Store. The form is received and stored by Formspree, a third-party service.

You can ask us to delete your address at any time and we will. We do not sell email addresses or pass them to third parties for marketing.

Note: the app itself does not collect email addresses. This collection happens only through the notification form on this site.

Web fonts

Fonts on this site are served by Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the fonts load. That is a property of the font service itself; see the Google Privacy Policy for details.

What the app does (summary)

The following describes the Verbis Bible app, not this site. Bookmarks, notes, reading plan progress and settings are stored only on your device. The app additionally involves the following optional or required data processing:

Google Drive backup (optional; data stays in your own account)
Google AdMob rewarded ads (may collect Advertising ID, approximate location, usage behaviour)
Firebase: the invite feature records an anonymous device identifier; Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage statistics
In-app subscription (payments handled by Google Play / Apple App Store; we store no payment information)
Push notifications (scheduled entirely on your device)
Commentary download (~119MB; no personal data is transmitted)

Children's privacy

Neither this site nor the app knowingly collects personal information from children under 13.

All translations on this site are public domain or Creative Commons licensed: Chinese Union Version for Traditional and Simplified Chinese, the World English Bible for English, Reina-Valera 1909 for Spanish, and Louis Segond 1910 for French (all public domain); Portuguese uses A Bíblia Livre under CC BY 3.0 BR, with attribution shown in the footer of every Portuguese page.
