Bible Verses About Salvation and Eternal Life

Salvation is a big word, but people often search for it at very concrete moments — awake at night wondering what happens after death, doubting whether someone like them even counts, or just trying to work out what “being saved” actually means.

Here are nine passages from the Bible about salvation. They don’t rush you toward a decision, and they don’t draw the conclusion for you. They lay out the passages the public-domain indexes classify under salvation, one verse at a time, and let you read slowly.

What the Bible Says About Salvation

for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”

Acts 4:12

“Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and doesn’t come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

John 5:24

2 Corinthians 5:17

Isaiah 12:2

John 3:16

Romans 6:23
